Brand New Students-How much should I train?
This is one of the most common questions we get and one of the hardest to answer perfectly! A lot of variables can come in to play here, but the big ones are age, fitness, schedule, and goals! I think most people, athletes or not should focus on 2-3 classes at the start to build consistency, we want your journey to be for forever and often it is a lot easier to train at 70-80% for a long time rather than burnout at 100% quickly! The nice part about this approach is your percentage will change overtime as you get accustomed to training and movement!
As you learn to train the right way, be a good partner, and adjust your intensity, things do get easier to start to spread your training across any variable number of sessions. We always want to train as much as we can and that is going to be different for each person!
